A Path Back to God

  1. Acknowledge Your Need for Him

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

We all stray from the path sometimes, but admitting it is the crucial first step back.

  1. Repent (Make a U-Turn)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

Repentance isn’t just feeling guilty — it’s about making the choice to turn away from sin and head back toward God.

  1. Trust in Jesus’ Sacrifice

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

Jesus is the bridge — we don’t find our way back through our own efforts, but through His grace.

  1. Seek God Through Prayer

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

Prayer is simply about being real with God. Start with whatever words come to your heart.

  1. Dive into His Word

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

The Scriptures ground you in truth and remind you of His promises.

  1. Reconnect with His Community

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together…” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Being part of a church and fellowship helps us stay strong when we feel like wandering off again.

  1. Embrace a New Life

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Returning to God means living in His love every day — through forgiveness, service, and hope.

✨ You don’t need to be “perfect” to come back — God is waiting for you with open arms, just like the Father in the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32).
