Prayer of Returning to God

Heavenly Father,
I come to You today with the understanding that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). I lay my sins before You, holding onto the promise that “if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the incredible truth that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). My trust is not in my own strength, but in the sacrifice You made on the cross and the power of Your resurrection.

Please draw me close once more, Lord, just as Your Word assures: “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). Teach me through Your Word, for “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

Restore me, Father, and make me new, because “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

I surrender my life back to You. Lead me, guide me, and help me to walk with You every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
