The Bible reminds us to stay alert and prepared because we don’t know the exact moment when Jesus will return (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32).

What we do know is this:

The signs of the times – Jesus mentioned things like wars, famines, earthquakes, false prophets, a rise in wickedness, and the gospel reaching all nations (Matthew 24). Many of these events are unfolding right in our generation.

The call to readiness – The Lord encourages us to lead holy lives, remain faithful, and keep our lamps lit, just like the wise virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).

The hope of believers – For Christians, the return of Jesus isn’t something to dread; it’s something we eagerly anticipate. It’s our blessed hope (Titus 2:13).

So yes, His return is drawing near, but only God knows the precise timing. Our role is to live each day in readiness, so that whenever He arrives, we’ll be prepared.
